KEEPERS at Sadelmakarlängan

The word "Keeper" has many meanings, among others: guardian, protector, caretaker, but also means something worth keeping – "a keeper".

Over the years I've been saving brown and black recycled packing paper that comes in mail shipments, the kind used as filling and cushioning material in packages. We have a constant in- and outflow of packages in our household. I love the texture and color (yes I’m a paper nerd) and the paper has accumulated, waiting to be used somehow.

This project is a further investigation of the technique I started experimenting with during the course Research Lab Craft at Konstfack during 2021-22. I have since then wanted to explore it more and to work in a larger scale. The packing paper finally came to use.
